Carson City Fire Department responded late Thursday morning to a fire at the Maverik gas station, 1451 College Parkway, near Research Way.
In what was reported at around 11:45 a.m. as a dumpster fire, flames spread out threatening the nearby structure by the time first responders arrived.
Multiple fire engines responded. The fire was knocked down at 11:59 a.m. Motorists are advised to stay clear from the gas station as firefighters clean up hot spots. A fire prevention team was sent to investigate.
