A 25-year-old Carson City man was arrested Monday for suspicion of gross misdemeanor unlawful use of 911, harassment, obstructing and a Department of Alternative Sentencing violation.

According to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office booking report, the man allegedly called 911 dispatch three times for non-emergency purposes. Deputies responded to a residence and spoke with the subject, who was standing outside of his apartment. The man was swaying, slurring his words and had an odor of alcohol on his person.

The man said he called dispatch three times because he wanted his inheritance money and that he didn’t need assistance from law enforcement. Officers learned the man had also made a separate call to a substance abuse counselor and is alleged to have made threats. The counselor advised they wanted to pursue charges for harassment, the report states.

Dispatch advised the man is on Department of Alternative Sentencing caseload with a provision not to drink alcohol. He provided a preliminary breath test of .260. He was booked for unlawful use of 911, harassment and obstructing after resisting arrest. Bail: $6,094.

In other arrests:
— A 21-year-old man was arrested Tuesday for failure to appear warrants issued from Dayton Township Court and from the Nevada Highway Patrol. Bail: $930.

— A woman was arrested Tuesday, 6:41 a.m. for misdemeanor suspicion of domestic battery and minor consuming alcohol.

According to the booking report, the woman allegedly hit her father repeatedly after he attempted to speak with her about the friends she had whom he didn’t like. The suspect left with her friends after the altercation.

Deputies interviewed the father, who had a small laceration on his right cheek with some blood and a few light red marks around his neck. The officer asked the man if he could take a look at the bedroom in which the incident happened.

The officer observed a broken mirror on the floor. The father stated his daughter was upset and broke the mirror. The deputy also observed window blinds that were broken. The father said his daughter hit him through the window blinds.

During an interview with the daughter, who was located later, she advised she had been drinking, and had come home. She said her dad was upset and knocked on the door to her room and then went around to her window and began yelling. She said she pushed him and began swinging. She said her father did not take a swing at her. She was arrested for suspicion of domestic battery and for minor consuming alcohol. Bail: $3,379.
