CARSON CITY — The Nevada Division of Environmental Protection, Bureau of Air Pollution Control has entered the public notice period for the new Class II Air Quality Operating Permit for Redwood Materials, Inc.
The public comment period is from July 29, 2022, through August 29, 2022.
The BAPC has reviewed the application and has made a preliminary determination to issue a new permit for the Redwood Materials, Inc., located in Storey County, approximately. The project is located approximately 24 miles east of Sparks.
Redwood Materials, Inc. is a new recycling production facility that reprocesses lithium-ion battery materials and scrap copper wire into metal commodities..
The proposed project will not cause or contribute to a violation of any federal or State of Nevada air quality standards.

PUBLIC NOTICE AND PUBLIC HEARING
Pursuant to Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS) Chapter 445B, the Nevada Administrative Code (NAC) Chapter 445B, and the Clean Air Act, the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection is issuing the following Notice of Proposed Action.
The Director received an application for a new Class II Air Quality Operating Permit, AP3499-4396 (FIN A2326) from the following applicant:
Redwood Materials, Inc. 1201 Norway Drive McCarran, NV 89434
Redwood Materials, Inc. is located approximately 24 miles east of Sparks in the Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center. The project is located in all or portions of Sections 19 & 30, Township 19N, Range 23E, M.D.B.&M.
Redwood Materials, Inc. is a new recycling production facility that reprocesses lithium-ion battery materials and scrap copper wire into metal commodities.
On the basis of the preliminary review and the requirements of the NRS, the NAC and the Clean Air Act, the Director is hereby announcing his intent to issue the proposed Class II Air Quality Operating Permit based on a review of the information submitted.
Pursuant to NAC 445B.3395.9(f), the Director is providing this notice of a Public Hearing on the proposed action. The Public Hearing will be held on August 29, 2022 in Carson City, Nevada at 10:00 a.m. at the following location:
