Sunshine, highly polished chrome and plenty of shady trees make for the perfect venue Saturday as more than 100 car classics and hotrods of all makes and models are lined at Mills Park in Carson City for the 37th annual Karson Kruzers Run What Cha Brung Car Show.

A summertime favorite for more than three decades, this car classic and hotrod show brings all the chrome and the many stories from the owners who own them.

As of 8:30 a.m. Saturday morning, organizers said there were between 100 to 150 vintage, classics, hotrods and rat rods having arrived thus far for the annual summertime car show, with more coming.

Carson City’s longest-running car show is happening today, Saturday at Mills Park, 1111 East William Street, Carson City.

If you’re coming to look at the cars, there’s no cost, the event is free to stroll through. Car owners are always willing to share their stories about the history of their vehicles and how they restored them to the mint conditions they are today.

If you have a vehicle to enter, the fee is $40. Registration runs until 9:30 a.m. with judging at 4 p.m.

The famed car show features food trucks, raffles, silent auction, awards and more.
