
Carson City area casinos saw a 1.35 percent increase in gaming generated revenue for the month of May compared to May 2021, according to the Nevada Gaming Control Board. Statewide, gaming revenue was up 5.71 percent.
Casinos in Carson City, Gardnerville, Minden and all other areas of Douglas County except for South Shore Lake Tahoe generated a “gaming win” of $12,360,785 for the month.
Nevada’s nonrestricted gaming licensees reported a total “gaming win” of $1,300,066,171 for the month of May 2022. This amounts to a 5.71 percent increase compared to May 2021, when licensees reported a gaming win of $1,229,894,521. For the fiscal year (July 1, 2021 through May 31, 2022), gaming win has increased 40.99 percent.
Meanwhile, casinos at South Shore Lake Tahoe in the Stateline area, saw gaming revenue down 13.69 percent for the month. North Shore casinos were down 8.94 percent in May.
Casinos in Reno and Sparks also saw gaming generated revenue decline for the month, with Reno sliding 4.46 percent and Sparks, 7.95 percent.
