The Carson City Sheriff’s Office reports Tuesday night that Cody J. Abernathy, who escaped from Carson City Jail on Saturday night along with inmate Matthew R. Marizza, was located in Carson City and was taken to Carson Tahoe Hospital.
No other details were available. We will update as more information becomes available.
On Monday, suspected accomplice Austin Wayne Rivers, accused of helping Abernathy and Marizza escape from the detention center, was taken into custody. Escapee Matthew R. Marizza, 27, was taken into custody Sunday in Sacramento County, Calif.
