Nevada State Prison Preservation Society

The Board of Directors of the Nevada State Prison Preservation Society announced multiple days of tours at the historic Nevada State Prison.
The Nevada State Prison has an extensive history within Carson City, as it became established in 1862 and until its closure in 2012 was one of the oldest prisons still operating in the entire country. See story here.
Four tours are available this Saturday, June 19. Sixteen tours are available on Independence Day weekend, July 3-5.
Four tours are available on each of these Saturdays: July 17, August 7 and August 21, August 18, Sept. 2 and October 16.
Sixteen tours are available on Labor Day weekend, September 4-6.
Our season finale will be the Nevada Day weekend, October 29, 30, and 31, with 20 tours available. What better place to celebrate the Nevada Day weekend than where the state of Nevada started? Take the tour to find out what we mean.
Tours are $15 per person, and you can see all of the details, and buy tickets at: nevadastateprison.org/tours
