“Although it has taken longer than anticipated, new and exciting things are starting to happen at the UNR Cooperative Extension Office,” says Lindsay Chichester, Extension Educator.
Bianca Galeano, office manager, was recently hired and comes to the job with a wealth of information, great people skills, and a great can-do attitude.
“Having Bianca consistently at the office to meet and greet clientele and to help with day-to-day activities has been a huge relief for the existing staff,” says Jim Barcellos, 4-H and Youth Development Community Instructor.
“In the last six months there have been a lot of staff changes, but now all of the pieces are in place, and we look forward to trying and doing new things,” adds Chichester.
Also, returning to the Carson City Cooperative Extension Office is Wendy Hanson Mazet, whose expertise is in horticulture, arboriculture, noxious weeds, vegetable gardening, and low water use gardening. Wendy will be in the Carson City Office two days per month, for June that will be the 10th and 17th.
