Indivisible Carson City will host “Party at the Polls,” a free, family-friendly neighborhood celebration, on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. outside the Carson City Community Center, 851 E. William Street.
October 17th is the first day of Early Voting, and organizers invite everyone to a fun, welcoming, nonpartisan celebration at our polling place for Free coffee, donuts, yard games, face painting, and music. Let’s turn voting into a community celebration and connect with our neighbors while making a plan to cast our ballots this election season.
Organizers are encouraging residents to skip the mailbox this year and either drop their ballots at an official ballot box or vote in person. Early in-person voting begins on October 17.
“This is not a protest – it’s a great opportunity to gather together as neighbors and celebrate our right to vote. We decide who represents us. We decide what comes next. Let’s make sure everyone gets the chance to vote and has fun doing it, said Indivisible Carson City Leader, Melissa Perales.
Organizers encourage everyone to make a voting plan and remind five friends to make their voting plan too.
Indivisible Carson City will have information available at the event on ways to protect the vote and our democracy – Please join the Party!! Our democracy deserves to be celebrated and protected.
