Carson City released the following press release. We will follow up with more information when it’s available:

As the public is aware, the City has been actively working with the Hop and Mae Adams Foundation to come to terms on various agreements for the construction of a new City Hall and parking garage. Unfortunately, despite the best efforts of both parties, necessary terms critical to a successful partnership ultimately could not be met.

As a result, the City Manager will coordinate with City staff and the Board of Supervisors to explore other potentially viable options for the purpose of securing alternate office space to accommodate the needs of the City. As with all matters of public concern, the City will continue to keep the residents of Carson City informed about the process.

The City Manager’s Office extends its sincere appreciation and gratitude to the Hop and Mae Adams Foundation, City employees, the community at large and individual members of the public for their work and civic engagement, all of which contribute to the betterment of Carson City.
