Welcome to the newest edition of The Sierra Stargazer, the only horoscope built specifically from the skies above Northern Nevada. For the week of Tuesday, May 26–Sunday, May 31, 2026.

Northern Nevada gets a bright, moon-heavy sky this week. Over Carson City, the moon grows through its waxing gibbous phase and reaches full early Sunday, May 31, at about 1:45 a.m. It is the second full moon of May — a Blue Moon — and the week’s brightness will make the Sierra ridgelines, sagebrush flats and high desert roads look especially sharp after dark. Venus and Jupiter are still the main evening planets in the west, while Saturn and Mars belong to the early risers looking low toward the predawn horizon. Mercury may appear near the western horizon late in the month, but it will be difficult to catch in the sunset glare.

Aries

You may feel like kicking through the swinging doors this week, but the sky is asking for a little restraint. Pick your moment. Not every challenge needs a showdown at high noon.

Taurus

Your week benefits from slow, physical grounding. Think hiking boots, a packed lunch and a trail that does not care how many emails you have. Get back into your body before making big decisions.

Gemini

Venus and Jupiter give your words extra sparkle, but don’t scatter them like gravel on a back road. Say the thing that matters. A clear message goes farther than a clever one.

Cancer

The bright moon may stir up family, memory and home matters. If emotions rise, don’t drown in them. Take a drive through Washoe Valley, look at the open water and let the week remind you that feelings move.

Leo

You’re lit up this week, but so is everything else. Tahoe does not need to announce itself to be stunning; neither do you. Let your presence do the work without turning every room into a stage.

Virgo

This is a good week for sorting, repairing and refining. Treat your life like a rockhounding bag: keep what has real weight or beauty, and stop hauling around every ordinary stone just because you picked it up once.

Libra

Relationships are under full-moon lighting, which means charm alone will not cover the cracks. Be fair, but be honest. A pretty campfire still needs someone to gather wood.

Scorpio

The Blue Moon brings intensity, but you do not need to tunnel into every dark shaft looking for gold. Some questions are worth panning slowly. Others are just mud pretending to be mystery.

Sagittarius

Your restless streak is strong this week. Give it somewhere useful to go — a trail, a day trip, a new plan, a bigger view. Just don’t mistake motion for freedom if you’re still avoiding the same conversation.

Capricorn

Practical matters need your attention: money, deadlines, promises and the unglamorous chores that keep the wagon wheels on. Handle them cleanly. Future-you does not need another mess waiting in the dust.

Aquarius

You may want company, but not crowding. Aim for the social equivalent of a good campsite: enough people to share the fire, enough space to hear yourself think.

Pisces

The full moon may make you dreamy, scattered or overstimulated. Stay simple. Float the Carson River in your mind if not in real life: let what is not yours keep moving downstream.

Stargazer’s note

This is not the darkest week for stargazing, because the full moon will wash out faint stars. But it is a strong week for moonlit scenery — Sierra silhouettes, Washoe Valley views, Tahoe reflections, desert roads and late-evening walks under a sky bright enough to feel almost cinematic. For planets, look west after sunset for Venus and Jupiter, and east before sunrise for Saturn and Mars.
