A 50-year-old man was arrested Saturday for suspicion of felony assault with a deadly weapon after allegedly pulling a knife on his ex-girlfriend, according to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office booking report.

Following an investigation, CCSO deputies arrested Sean Dry. He was also booked for a misdemeanor warrant for violation of conditions. According to the booking report, deputies responded at 5:26 p.m. to the 2900 block of North Roop Street after a reporting party (RP) stated her ex-boyfriend pulled a knife on her.

Deputies arrived where the RP advised the ex-boyfriend was still inside the apartment. Deputies went to the apartment and the man was detained. Deputies advised him of his Miranda warning and he advised he understood and wished to speak.

He said the woman began arguing with him while he was in bed and started poking him on the forehead. He stated she then held her keys between her knuckles like she was going to stab him. He said he stood up and she began yelling that he had a knife. He said he did not have a knife and said the ex-girlfriend left.

The ex-girlfriend walked with the deputy to the bedroom where the incident happened and said the man was in bed and they started arguing. She said she poked the man in the head and then he reached under the blanket, pulled a knife out that had a sheath, pulled the sheath off the knife and then started pointing it at her and walking toward her, the report states.

She played an audio recording she took where the man is heard telling her to stop and then when she asked him about taking the knife out, she asks if he is going to slit his throat. The man responds by saying he is defending himself, the report states.

The woman took the deputy to the kitchen to look for the knife and opened a drawer and told the deputy the knife was in there and grabbed the handle. The knife was collected. The man was booked for alleged assault with a deadly weapon. Dispatch advised he had conditions through the Department of Alternative Sentencing. Dispatched advised to place him on DAS hold. Bail: $15,000.

— A Henderson man was arrested Friday for suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail: $2,500.

— A 49-year-old woman was arrested Friday for suspicion of gross misdemeanor violation of a protection order for stalking/harassment and a contempt of court warrant. The victim was the woman’s sister who had been inside the garage of the residence for 5 to 10 minutes. Dispatch confirmed the stalking TPO that was served March 24, 2026 and expires on May 8, 2026. Bail: $3,000.

— A 34-year-old Reno man was booked Saturday for suspicion of misdemeanor DUI. According to the booking report, a deputy witnessed a pickup failing to maintain their lane as they traveled northbound on South Carson Street. The vehicle crossed the yellow center line twice, nearly hitting a center median at a crosswalk.

The vehicle then increased its speed from 35 mph to 45 mph in a posted 35 mph zone approaching Colorado Street. The deputy pulled the driver over, coming to a stop onto California Street, the report states.

The driver stated he and his friends had left a restaurant and were on their way home. The deputy could smell a slight odor of alcohol coming from him and his eyes were red and watery and he was slurring his speech. When asked if he had anything to drink, the man stated no. The deputy asked if he would voluntarily complete standardized field sobriety tests. He stated he would and admitted he had one beer at the restaurant, the report states.

He showed signs of impairment on some of the tests. He submitted to a preliminary breath test with a result of .121 and was arrested for suspicion of DUI. At jail he agreed to provide a breath sample for evidentiary purposes with results of .114 and .106. Bail: $1,137.

— A 43-year-old man was arrested Saturday for suspicion of misdemeanor DUI and disorderly conduct. According to the booking report, the man was arrested for DUI earlier in the day and was taken to the hospital due to a high level of intoxication. The man woke up at the hospital and became uncooperative with medical staff and walked into the hallway of the hospital and urinated in front of staff and others receiving medical care, the report states. He was arrested and taken to jail. Bail: $1,137

— A 39-year-old Arizona man was arrested Sunday, 12:31 a.m. for suspicion of DUI. According to the booking report, a deputy was dispatched at 12:17 a.m. to the 2700 block of South Carson Street for a possible intoxicated driver.

Deputies located the suspect vehicle approaching Rhodes Street and recognized the vehicle from a contact a few hours prior. The deputy paced the vehicle, where it began driving at a slow speed, 15 to 20 mph in a posted 35 mph. The driver quickly moved from the number one lane to the number two lane and had an inconsistent driving pattern, the report states. The deputy activated their emergency lights. The driver pulled into the center turn lane on South Carson Street and remained there. The deputy announced over the PA for the man to pull into the driveway as it was not a safe place to conduct a traffic stop.

The officer observed the driver side window was down. The officer again instructed him to pull into the driveway, which he did not do. The officer exited their vehicle and walked up to the driver’s window. The deputy could smell a slight odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle. The deputy notes the driver was the sole occupant in the vehicle. The deputy observed the man had heavy slurred speech and watery eyes. He then pulled into the parking lot of a motel in the 2700 block of South Carson Street.

The deputy asked the man if he remembered them from the prior contact. The driver stated he did. The deputy told the driver they believed he was intoxicated and asked if he would be willing to exit the vehicle and perform standardized field sobriety tests. The man exited the vehicle but stated he did not wish to perform SFSTs as he would fail. The deputy asked him how much he had to drink. The man stated he had multiple shots of liquor a few hours prior, the report states.

The man was asked if he would provide a preliminary breath test. He agreed and provided a sample of .218, the report states. Based on the deputy’s observations, the driver was arrested for suspicion of DUI. The man agreed to provide an evidentiary blood sample. Bail: $1,137.

— A 32-year-old Dayton man was arrested Saturday for suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail; $2,500.

— A 23-year-old Carson City man was arrested early Sunday for suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery. According to the booking report, deputies responded at 12:42 a.m. to an Imperial Way address for a domestic battery.

Deputies arrived and met with the male involved, later identified as the suspect. Deputies interviewed the man who’s stated he and his girlfriend had been having a verbal argument. Both decided to go to separate rooms in an attempt to calm down, the report states.

The man stated while he was in the living room, he started to listen to music with his headphones and then began punching the sofa. He stated his girlfriend told him to keep the noise down while she made herself food. He she was in the kitchen and living room area, when both began arguing again. The man said he followed her. He stated she tried to shut the bedroom door to keep him from following her. He stated he “kicked” the door down and the door hit the woman, knocking her over onto the bed. He stated he then grabbed the phone and called 911. He said he used her phone to call 911 and gave the phone back to her. He said he then left the room, the report states.

The woman confirmed both parties had been arguing and she stated they both decided to go to separate rooms in the apartment in an attempt to calm down. She stated she became hungry and was about to make herself some food when she could hear banging in the other room, the report states. She left the bedroom and saw the man hitting the sofa and said she and the man resumed arguing. She said she tried walking away but that he followed her.

She said she entered the bedroom and started to shut the door behind her. According to the woman, before she could latch the door the man pushed the door open, with the door hitting her, pushing her down and that the bed partially caught the fall, the report states. She did not have any visible marks or injuries and stated she did not have any injuries.

She said after the man entered the room, he ripped her phone out of her hands, damaging the phone case. She said he then called 911 in front of her and handed her the phone back. She said he then left the room and shut the door behind him, holding the door closed by the handle until deputies arrive on scene, the report states.

The man denied ever holding the door closed but did admit to everything else. He stated he just stood on the other side of the door until deputies arrived. Deputies determined the man to be the primary aggressor and he was booked for suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery. Bail: $3,000.

— A 23-year-old man was arrested Sunday, 12:29 a.m. for suspicion of DUI drugs, contributing to the neglect of a minor and failure to stop at stop sign. According to the booking report, an NHP trooper assigned to the area was patrolling in the area of East Second Street and Roop Street and observed a sedan approaching a posted stop sign on South Pratt fail to come to a complete stop. The vehicle proceeded to turn onto East Second heading westbound. Due to the vehicle failing to stop the trooper activated their overhead lights for a traffic enforcement stop, the report states.

The trooper made contact with the driver and advised the reason for the stop. During the contact, the officer noticed an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Based on the driving pattern and odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle the trooper requested the driver to exit the vehicle.

The trooper asked him if he would be willing to participate in standardized field sobriety tests. The man showed some clues of impairment. He provided a preliminary breath test of .000. Based on the trooper’s observations, they determined the driver was unsafe to operate a motor vehicle and he was placed under arrest, the report states.

During the investigation, another trooper informed them that the two other passengers in the vehicle were juveniles. Due to the time of the stop, it was determined the juveniles were out past curfew. The trooper believed the driver was a contributing factor as he was transporting the two juveniles, the report states. Bail: $2,500.

— A 34-year-old man, William Robert Johnson, was booked April 25 for a warrant issued out of Carson City Justice Court alleging felony grand larceny, $1,200 but less than $5,000. The warrant was issued on Nov. 19, 2025.

— A 40-year-old Carson City man was booked April 25 for a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant. Bail: $3,000 cash.

— A 26-year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday for misdemeanor contempt of court. He provided a preliminary breath test of .262, a violation of court conditions not to consume any alcohol. Bail: $3,000 cash.

— A 36-year-old Carson City woman was arrested early Monday for a misdemeanor outside agency warrant out of Fallon for failure to appear. Bail: $1,075.

— A 37-year-old Carson City woman was arrested early Saturday for suspicion of DUI. According to the booking report, at approximately 3:24 a.m. a deputy observed a U-Haul exit the parking lot of a casino in the 500 block of North Carson Street go southbound on North Fall, making a stop near North Fall and East Telegraph. The driver then turned back into the parking lot of the casino. The deputy made consensual contact with the driver who identified herself with a Nevada driver’s license.

While speaking with the woman, the deputy could smell alcohol coming from her person. She also had red, watery eyes. The officer observed a bottle of liquor in the cup holder of the vehicle, which she appeared to try to cover with her hand as she was speaking with the deputy, the report states.

The deputy asked her to step out of the vehicle and asked if she had consumed any alcoholic beverages. She stated she consumed approximately two beers. The deputy asked if she was willing to perform standardized field sobriety tests. She agreed to the tests and showed signs of impairment on the tests. She refused to submit to a preliminary breath test and was arrested for suspicion of DUI. She agreed to evidentiary breath samples, with results of .158 and .151. Bail: $1,000.

— A 37-year-old Carson City man was arrested Saturday for a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant issued April 9, 2026 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $585 cash.

— A 24-year-old Carson City man was arrested Saturday for misdemeanor contempt of court issued out of Carson City Justice Court for violation of pre-trail conditions. Part of the conditions was to stay away from a residence in the 3300 block of Woodside Drive. He was at the location. Bail: $3,000 cash.

— A 23-year-old Carson City man was arrested Saturday for suspicion of driving without a valid driver’s license. Bail: $192.
