A Carson City School District bus and and silver Ford truck had a minor collision Friday afternoon at the intersection of North Valley and East Spear streets, necessitating the evacuation of the students on board.
The collision caused minor damage to the truck and no apparent damage to the bus, and no injuries. But according to a school district employee on scene, they couldn’t move the bus until the investigation by the Carson City Sheriff’s Office was completed. In the meantime, the district contacted parents to come pick up their children, and arrange for alternative transportation for the others.
The intersection is uncontrolled, with no stop or yield signs on either street.
