UPDATE: Tuesday, April 11: Based on tips from the public, the lewdness suspect has been identified and interviewed by detectives. The investigation will be forwarded to the Carson City District Attorney’s Office. The Carson City Sheriff’s Office thanks the public for the many tips that led to identifying the suspect.

On Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at approximately 2:30 pm, a male walking east on William Street near Fall Street accepted a ride from another male in a gray pick-up truck. Once inside the truck, the driver offered the male money.
The driver committed a lewd act on the male victim. The victim jumped out of the moving vehicle and sustained minor injuries.
The victim took photographs of the suspect vehicle as it drove away west on William Street toward North Carson Street. The truck is described as a gray early 2000’s model Toyota Tundra, extended cab.
The truck had an American flag sticker on the driver’s side of the rear window. The suspect was described as an older male in his 60’s to 70’s clean shaven with grey hair.
