Two men were arrested for alleged felony offenses following a fight Sunday in which the victim had a protection order against one of the two, according to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office booking report.

Jeromy Simon was taken into custody at 6:39 p.m. He was booked for alleged assault with a deadly weapon and misdemeanor protection order violation. Also arrested was 23-year-old Omar Godinez, of Carson City, for suspicion of felony accessory and misdemeanor Department of Alternative Sentencing violation.

According to the booking report, deputies were dispatched to Stanton Drive and Woodside for a subject brandishing a weapon. Dispatch advised there was a fight between juveniles and a weapon was brandished. Dispatch advised the juveniles left in a black Impala.

Deputies met with the victim, and father of the victim. The father advised the fight was with suspect Simon and that there was a temporary protection order against him, the report states.

Deputies attempted to speak with the juvenile victim, who was uncooperative and refused to tell deputies any further information. A deputy observed a laceration on his forehead and he was bleeding. He was treated for the injury.

Deputies spoke with witnesses advising the suspect exited a vehicle and began to fight with the victim. The witness provided video of the altercation, which was in the middle of the street.

Deputies observed, in the video, Godinez walk over to the victim and hit him in the face. Simon and the victim then argued verbally. The deputy could not make out if Simon had a weapon in his hands, however a witness stated she believed Simon had a knife and saw him take out a knife and believed Simon was going to hurt the victim with the knife, according to the report.

Another witness advised they were driving by and saw a fight, where Simon pulled out a knife to try to stab the victim. Both suspects then went into the vehicle and drove away.

The suspect vehicle was located and a high risk traffic stop was conducted at Roop and William Street. Both suspects were detained. Godinez was read his Miranda warning and agreed to speak. He said he knew Simon had a knife but did not know if he brandished it. He said he and Simon had been driving and that Simon spotted the victim, pulled over and began fighting. Dispatch advised Godinez is on Alternative Sentencing. He had been drinking and submitted to a preliminary breath test.

During the inventory of the vehicle conducted for towing, deputies located a black Big Boy stiletto knife in the passenger seat, approximately 14 inches long. Simon was advised he was under arrested. Both were searched and booked without incident. Bail for Simon, $20,000. Bail for Godinez, $10,000.

In other arrests:
— A 20-year-old Carson City woman as arrested Sunday for suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery. According to the booking report, deputies were dispatched at 12:16 a.m. to the 3400 block of Woodside for a reporting party saying she was getting kicked out of the house.

Deputies met with the woman, who stated her boyfriend pushed her. She said she tried to talk to him about their relationship issues but he did not want to. When she attempted to hug him, he pushed her away, the report states. The deputy asked how he pushed her. She put her hands in the air with her arms bent back and made a pushing motion. The deputy asked if he was pushing her to get her off him. She said yes. The deputy asked if she had got physical with the man and she said no. While speaking, the deputy could smell a strong odor of alcohol coming from her person.

Deputies then interviewed the victim and two other roommates who advised the woman began pushing the victim, pushing him into a corner and saw her pushing and then punching and pushing him. Witnesses completed statements.

The woman was arrested for suspicion of domestic battery. She consented to a preliminary breath test with a result of .147. Bail $3,137.

— A 47-year-old man was arrested Sunday for a warrant alleging misdemeanor destruction of property and interference with fire alarm apparatus. Bail: $4,000 cash.

— A 38-year-old Carson City woman as arrested Sunday for suspicion of misdemeanor DUI. According to the booking report, deputies in the area of Marian and Beverly Drive noticed an accident and called it into dispatch, who also advised they had received a call regarding the incident.

The deputy made contact with the victim who was the owner of an unoccupied vehicle involved. The deputy asked the victim who the driver of the other vehicle was and he stated it was a female that he allowed to sit in the house until deputies arrived. The deputy asked the man if he could take them to where the female was. The man stated he would, the report states.

Once inside the house a deputy made contact with the woman who was the driver of the vehicle at fault. The deputy asked her is she needed medical attention. She said she did not. Due to airbags being deployed the deputy asked dispatch to have medical respond to the location.

While speaking with the woman, the officer observed slurred speech and red, watery eyes. The deputy asked her if she had been drinking. She stated she had one tall White Claw approximately one hour before the accident occurred. The deputy asked if she would be willing to participate in standardized field sobriety tests. The woman stated she would.

The deputy read the medical evaluation section of the test sheet and determined the woman would be able to perform the tests. She stated the time she had alcohol Sunday was at around 8:15 p.m. The test was administered on the sidewalk on the west side of Marian Avenue. She showed clues of impairment on the HGN eye test and zero clues on the two other tests. Due to the results of the HGN test, the preliminary breath test with a result of .138 partial sample, as well as her slurred speech and watery eyes, she was placed under arrest for suspected DUI. She was read the request for voluntary evidence and taken to jail. She provided two evidentiary breath tests with results of 0.117 and 0.222. Bail: $1,137.

— A 68-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Sunday for suspicion of misdemeanor DUI. According to the booking report, deputies were dispatched at 10:14 p.m. to the 2400 block of Havenwood regarding a vehicle collision.

When deputies arrived on scene they observed the suspect vehicle blocking the east and westbound lanes of Windridge Drive near the intersection of Havenwood. The driver and registered owner of the vehicle was standing next to the driver’s door of the vehicle speaking with medical personnel, who advised she was showing signs of being under the influence, the report states.

The deputy spoke with the woman where she was being held up by two firefighters. She was assisted over to a nearby tree so she could support herself without falling, the report states.

The woman displayed objective signs of alcohol intoxication: her eyes were red and watery, her speech was slurred and she stood with an unsteady gait, the report states. The deputy asked if she had been drinking tonight and she said yes. The deputy asked her how much and what kind of alcohol and the woman stated “too much” and “beer.” She was unable to remember where she was driving from, the report states.

The woman’s vehicle struck a parked trailer and parked pickup. The woman’s vehicle was inoperable due to the amount of damage sustained. Her vehicle was later towed.

A deputy attempted to conduct a preliminary breath test due to the woman’s level of intoxication. She was unable to successfully complete the breath test. The deputy attempted to conduct a field sobriety test. She was unable to satisfactorily complete the horizontal gaze test. She continually turned her head and could not follow the deputy’s finger with her eyes. She nearly fell to the ground twice while speaking with the deputy, the report states.

A deputy read her request for voluntary evidence and she consented to a blood draw. Due to the collision and inability to conduct a successful preliminary breath test, she was taken to the hospital for medical clearance. At the hospital two vials of the woman’s blood were collected. Bail: $1,137.

— A 63-year-old Carson City man was arrested for a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant issued out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $500 cash.

— A 32-year-old Carson City man was arrested Saturday in the 3900 block of South Curry Street for suspicion of misdemeanor DUI.

According to the booking report, Carson City sheriff’s deputies were called to an apartment complex for an accidental hit and run. Deputies arrived and observed a vehicle sitting next to the curb in a parking lot along with another vehicle sitting behind it.

Deputies contacted the suspect driver searching his passenger seat. The man had thick, slurred speech, red watery eyes and an odor of alcohol coming from his person, the report states. Deputies made contact with the other driver and interviewed both, with the victim driver advising that the man’s vehicle hit the back of hers at a fast food restaurant and that she attempted to flag the man down to exchange insurance but then he drove off, where they then followed him to a nearby apartment complex. They noted that while driving he was speeding and ran into the curb multiple times, according to the report.

The victim driver also produced video showing the man getting out of the driver’s side of the vehicle and walking to the passenger side of the vehicle. Deputies reviewed the video.

The suspect driver conducted standardized field sobriety tests and showed signs of impairment on the tests. The man refused to submit to a preliminary breath test. Based on the man’s performance and the totality of circumstances, he was arrested for suspicion of DUI. He refused voluntary evidentiary tests. Deputies contacted the on-call district attorney and judge to apply for a seizure warrant for a blood sample. The warrant was granted. Bail: $1,137.

— A 43-year-old Carson City man was arrested April 4 for misdemeanor Department of Alternative Sentencing violation. The man was located in an East Long Street building. An employee advised the man had been drinking in the parking lot and had fallen asleep twice before he was asked to move. Dispatch advised the man was on Department of Alternative Sentencing. DAS advised to place the man on hold for DAS violation. Bail: $3,000 cash.

— A 47-year-old woman, Amber Ingram, listed from Dillon, Mont., was arrested April 5 in the area of Carson and Corbett streets for a felony outside agency warrant issued out of an Idaho district court. Bail: $5,137.

— A 30-year-old Sun Valley man was arrested April 5 for a misdemeanor bench warrant issued January 24, 2024 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $5,000 cash.

— A San Franciso man, Enrique Carlos Medina, was arrested April 4 for two felony warrants issued Jan. 7, 2025 and April 2, 2025 out of Carson City court. He was transferred to Carson City Jail from Douglas County Jail for booking. No bail hold in lieu of a hearing.
