Two men were arrested Friday afternoon on felony drug charges after a meth pipe and a testable amount of meth inside was recovered, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

Arrested at 3:54 p.m. in the area of Gordon and Rock Court were Andrew Dalton Bunker, 28, of Carson City and Richard Allen Lopez, 48 of Mound House.

Bunker faces suspicion of possession of methamphetamine and parole and probation violation, both felonies. He also faces four misdemeanors: Possession of drug paraphernalia, driving on a revoked license, no vehicle insurance and driving with suspended registration.

Lopez was arrested for felony suspicion of possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and for misdemeanor violation of alternative sentencing.

According to the arrest report, a deputy with the Carson City Sheriff’s Office Special Enforcement team was traveling eastbound on Highway 50 East. The deputy checked the California plates on a vehicle through dispatch that returned suspended. The officer initiated a traffic stop but the vehicle continued and then, eventually stopped in the area of Gordon and Rock Court.

The driver, Bunker, provided his Colorado identification card and a California registration. He did not have insurance on the vehicle. A canine unit was called to do an exterior sniff of the vehicle with a canine. The dog alerted positive. Inside the vehicle glove box a deputy found a white paper napkin with a glass meth pipe inside of it. Neither men said the pipe belonged to them.

There was a testable amount of methamphetamine in the pipe. It was tested and came back positive. The men were arrested on suspicion of felony drug possession. Bail for Bunker: $5,124 for the drug charges, however he is being held without bail in lieu of a hearing on the parole and probation violation charge. Bail for Lopez: $6,367.

In other arrests:
— A 32-year-old Carson City woman was arrested early Saturday in a parking lot in the area of Eagle Station Lane for misdemeanor suspicion of DUI first offense, three counts open container, failure to change address on a driver’s license and failure to change the address on a registration.

According to the arrest report, the female provided a preliminary breath test of .160. She stated she had consumed three Red Bull vodkas. She showed signs of impairment on field sobriety tests and was arrested at 12:32 a.m. At jail she submitted to evidentiary breath tests with results of .158 and .155. Bail: $1,857.

— A 22-year-old Reno woman was arrested Saturday, 12:55 a.m. in the 4100 block of South Carson Street for misdemeanor suspicion of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

According to the arrest report, a deputy made a traffic stop after observing the red cover was missing on a vehicle light. The driver was 17, along with others in the vehicle who were also 17 and the suspect was 22. The vehicle had a smell of marijuana inside. An officer located a glass container with a couple stems in it and a marijuana grinder in the center console that had traces of marijuana flakes. The woman was arrested for suspicion of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Bail: $637.
