According to Carson City Sheriff’s Office, via dispatch, the roads are now open as of 4:05 p.m.

Motorists around the area of College Parkway and Airport Road are being re-directed Wednesday afternoon following a safety check of an abandoned box located in the area. According to Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong, it is a safety check and there is not a public threat. The Douglas County Bomb Squad has responded to facilitate the check.
“We’re checking a box and traffic could be impeded for a while as we are checking,” said Furlong.
The Carson City Fire Department was also on scene.
