Dasher is one of those rare and wonderful surprises—a kitten currently available for adoption from Catmandu. At just four months old, this adorable medium-haired black and white boy is already neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. He’s had a big start to life, and now he’s ready for a fresh chapter in a loving home.
Dasher was scooped up about six weeks ago as part of a TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) operation in Reno. After he was fixed, it became clear that he was friendly enough to deserve a chance indoors, so he was placed in a foster home for socialization and some much-needed TLC. Thanks to lots of patient, loving care from his fosters, Dasher has blossomed and is now ready for adoption.
He is a sweet and affectionate kitten, especially when approached gently. Dasher can still startle easily and runs if frightened, so he would do best in a calmer home. He is not a good match for a household with small children. He does well with other cats, as long as they are kind to him. While he hasn’t been around dogs, he could likely adjust to a cat-friendly dog who is calm, quiet, and won’t chase or bark at him.
Because Dasher is still living in his foster home, meet-and-greets are by appointment only. Although Dasher is by appointment only, visit us this weekend to meet our other sweet cats. We are located at 1829 Brown Street, and open Friday through Sunday from 11 am to 4 pm. If you wish to adopt, please arrive early to meet the cats.
