The Nevada State Railroad Museum, Carson City will celebrate the fall season with its annual Harvest Train on Saturday, Oct. 17, and Sunday, Oct. 18, 2026, featuring steam trainrides, a pumpkin patch, handcar rides, food trucks, games, and more.

The two-day celebration will run from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, with steam train rides available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The museum will steam up Virginia & Truckee Locomotive No. 25 and Glenbrook, giving visitors the opportunity to experience Nevada’s railroad history aboard trains pulled by two historic steam locomotives. Event wristbands include unlimited train rides throughout the day.

In addition to train rides, the Harvest Train will feature a pumpkin patch, games in the park, food trucks, and handcar rides from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day, providing a full day of fall activities for the whole family.

Admission is $25 for adults, $15 for children ages 4 to 17, and free for children ages 3 and younger. Each wristband is valid for one event day and provides access to all event activities, including unlimited train rides, museum admission, and handcar rides. Wristbands can be purchased online or in person. The museum will not sell individual train rides or standard admission tickets during the event, and member discounts do not apply.
