Carson City, Carson Valley and South Shore Lake Tahoe area casinos saw gaming generated revenue decreases in August, according to the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
Establishments in Carson City, Gardnerville, Minden and all other areas of Douglas County except for the lake saw its gaming revenue, also called “gaming win,” down 3.56 percent compared to August 2025. Gambling revenue for August 2026 was $12,294,635 compared to $12,748,742 in August 2025.
At Lake Tahoe’s South Shore and the Stateline casino core, gaming generated revenue was down 1.95 percent compared to August 2025, bringing in $26,274,077 for the month. However, gaming establishments in North Lake Tahoe saw a gaming generated revenue increase of 3.35 percent, bringing in $2,665,813.
Elsewhere, gaming revenue saw increases in Reno, up 15.69 percent, bringing in $79,426,602, largely due to Hot August Nights. Washoe County overall, saw a 10.44 percent increase, bringing in gaming revenue of $108,415,054, while gaming establishments in Sparks saw a decrease of 5.7 percent, with a “gaming win” of $17,338,504.
Statewide, Nevada’s nonrestricted gaming licensees reported a total “gaming win” of $1,266,105,114 for the month. This amounts to a 3.14 percent increase compared to August 2025.
