In a social media post, the Carson City Sheriff’s Office extended its congratulations to all of the K9 teams who competed in the 5th annual K9 Unit Challenge.
The Carson City Sheriff’s Office K9 Team had a strong showing this year, earning:
• Top Team
• Top Dog
• 1st Place – Patrol Deployment
• 3rd Place – Narcotic Detection
• 3rd Place – K9 Agility
“We are proud of our handlers and K9 partners for the hard work and training they put in throughout the year, and we congratulate all of the teams who represented their agencies during this year’s competition,” Carson City Sheriff’s Office organizers of the event wrote on social media. “Thank you to the participating agencies, event staff, volunteers, and community members who helped make the event a success. We look forward to seeing everyone again next year in Virginia City!”
We will update as we receive information on the other winning K9 teams.
Meanwhile, Carson Now reader Ted Wilson provided us with these action-packed photos from this year’s event. Wilson also helped supply us with event photos last year.
