29-year-old Travis Bomar of Stagecoach was add-booked for felony failure to register as a Tier 1 sex offender after he was arrested a few days beforehand for DUI, driving with a revoked license, probation violation, and a felony parole and probation hold.
Editor’s Note: According to arrest searches, Bomar has been arrested multiple times throughout Nevada, California, and Colorado, including multiple arrests for DUI just in 2024. He’s also had multiple arrests for probation violation, warrant holds, fugitive from justice, and more.
In 2015 he was arrested on a warrant out of South Lake Tahoe, Calif. for “lewd acts on a child and rape with drugs” after he called the police during a fight in Colorado.
After his arrest, he was convicted of “unlawful sexual intercourse with a person under 18” in El Dorado County, which means he must register annually as a sex offender.
As a Tier 1 sex offender, Bomar is required to register annually, according to the arrest report, and must register no later than three business days after a change of name, residence, employment, or student status.
According to the report, the Carson City Jail booking deputy was contacted by Nevada Parole and Probation and was told Bomar had not registered as a Tier 1 sex offender, and they’d been alerted to him in custody through the Dangerous Offender Notification System (DONS).
The P&P officer informed the deputy Bomar last registered in August 2024, and had been released from the Pershing County Jail on December 2, 2024. A Pershing deputy confirmed Bomar had been released and had provided a new address in Stagecoach upon release, but had not updated his sex offender registration, which showed as “failing” the annual verification.
The deputy spoke to Bomar in custody, and Bomar did not wish to speak with the deputy.
Bomar was add-booked for felony failure to register as a sex offender.
Bail: $5,000.

The man agreed to speak with deputies, and when asked if he’d had anything to drink “he said something like ‘a couple,’” the deputy wrote.
Dispatch advised the man was on parole and probation with conditions of no alcohol consumption.
Deputies transported the man to the jail, where he agreed to participate in a field sobriety test. The man reportedly failed every single one of the tests.
He agreed to a PBT which resulted in a .204 BAC. About an hour after his initial arrest, the man provided another PBT sample with a result of .189 BAC.
The reporting party said other deputies searched the street to locate how much damage the man had allegedly caused, but the report did not include information on damages.
