Every cat is special—but every now and then you come across one who is super extra-special. One such cat is Paulie. He is a one-year-old, medium-haired black beauty with not just charm to spare, but thumbs on all four paws. Yes, really.

Paulie’s extra toes (he’s what’s known as a polydactyl) only add to his already irresistible appeal. With his striking green eyes and plush, inky coat, he has the kind of movie-star looks that turn heads—but it’s his personality that truly steals the show. He is a character who will brighten the lives of the family lucky enough to adopt him.

Paulie is the total package: young, playful, affectionate, and wonderfully social. He’s the kind of cat who wants to be where you are—whether that’s supervising your daily tasks, chasing a toy across the room, or soaking up well-deserved attention. If you’re looking for a companion who will happily be part of your everyday life, Paulie is ready to clock in.

He does best as the star of the show and doesn’t like to share the spotlight with other cats. While he hasn’t had experience with dogs, he has done well with respectful children who understand that even a thumbed-up cat appreciates a little personal space now and then.

Paulie came to us through no fault of his own—his previous family loved him dearly but had to make the difficult decision to rehome him due to severe allergies in the household. Now, he’s ready for a fresh start and a forever home where he can once again be someone’s beloved sidekick.

He is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on all his vaccines—basically, he’s packed and ready to go, just waiting for the right person to come along. They say if cats had thumbs they could take over the world… but Paulie has something much simpler in mind. He just wants to wrap those adorable extra toes around your heart—and never let go.

Paulie is waiting to meet you this weekend at Catmandu. We are open Friday -Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 1829 Brown Street. Come early if you wish to adopt.
