The Nevada State Parks Foundation is excited to announce a new partnership with Shoe Tree Brewing Company in Carson City, bringing a new lineup of Nevada State Park-inspired craft beers to Northern Nevada.

Over the last year, the Foundation has partnered with Las Vegas Brewing Company to create specialty craft beers inspired by Nevada’s iconic state parks in Southern Nevada. Now, the Foundation is expanding the program north with Shoe Tree Brewing, delivering new brews themed after some of Nevada’s most beloved outdoor destinations at Lake Tahoe.

A portion of the proceeds from the partnership will directly benefit the Nevada State Parks Foundation, which is dedicated to enhancing and preserving the natural beauty, cultural heritage, and recreational opportunities within Nevada State Parks. The Foundation has already helped facilitate the installation of trailhead restrooms at several state parks and has supported cleanup and improvement projects throughout the park system.

The first beer in the new Northern Nevada partnership is inspired by Nevada’s most visited state park, Sand Harbor at Lake Tahoe.

To celebrate the launch, the Nevada State Parks Foundation and Shoe Tree Brewing, in partnership with the Nevada Division of State Parks and Kokanee Bar & Grill, will host a beer release party at Sand Harbor on Friday, June 5, 2026, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The evening will feature:

  • Tastings of the new Sand Harbor-inspired brew
  • Food available for purchase from Kokanee Bar & Grill
  • Live music provided by Stephen Rehm and Jason Perl
  • Sunset views along the shores of Lake Tahoe

Guests are encouraged to come enjoy the sunset with a brand-new Shoe Tree brew inspired by one of Nevada’s favorite state parks.

No reservations are required for the event. If the park closes earlier in the day due to capacity, gates will reopen at 5 p.m. for event access. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early, as gates may close again if capacity is reached. Standard park entry fees will apply. Visitors already spending the day at the park are welcome to remain for the event.

Beer tastings are limited to guests 21 years of age and older. Full cans of the specialty brew will be available for purchase inside the Kokanee Bar & Grill.
