The 4Cs, Carson City Contributors Club “giving group” held their sixth meeting in April 2026 whereby the Food Bank of Northern Nevada was honored to receive the donations from the participants vote.

The 4Cs consists of a collective group of citizens who care about each other and our Northern Nevada community non-profits, a combination of community building and philanthropy.

The premise behind the meet-ups is to give back. The model is unique and simple: bring $25 cash (or check) and nominate a registered non-profit in Northern Nevada. Three nominations are then drawn from the hat. We ask the nominating party to share why they support the organization and any information they can share with the group. (You do not need to be affiliated with the non-profit that you are nominating.) After the informal presentations, we all vote. The votes are counted, and a winner is determined. Checks are then filled in, cash is counted and arrangements are made to deliver the total.

Interested parties do not need to attend to contribute. The group has a number of “silent contributors” that do not vote or nominate, but have pledged to support the group’s chosen recipient. One long-distance silent contributor, in addition, works for a company that matches their quarterly contribution.

The quarterly recipient is also featured in a spotlight interview on Carson City’s local community radio station segment “Around Town with Josh” on 95.1 FM, KNVC.org.

The next 4Cs meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at the Carson Mall (a new location for the group). All are welcome. The meeting starts promptly at 6:00 pm, with sign-up starting at 5:45pm (please be timely), and lasts less than one hour.
