Mark your calendars, Carson City! On Sunday April 12, the Brewery Arts Center will be hosting its annual Campus Beautification Day: aka, the BAC Spring clean! And, given the unnaturally beautiful weather we’ve been having, it looks like it’ll end up being the perfect day to get outside, plant some flowers, and give back to the community all at the same time.

For Beautification Day, volunteers will join together on the historic two-block BAC campus on the Carson City Westside from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to prepare the campus for the upcoming concert and festival season.

According to Operations Director Mike Wiencek, participants join together to clean up garden beds, prune bushes and trees, plant flowers, remove weeds, and other general beautification assistance.

As a nonprofit with only a handful of full-time staff, the BAC relies heavily on its dedicated volunteers. If you haven’t volunteered with the BAC before, now is the perfect time to start.

The BAC is located at 449 W King St in Carson City. To learn more, visit https://breweryarts.org
