The Carson City Board of Supervisors is seeking applications from persons interested in serving on the Historic Resources Commission. There are four (4) positions available; all positions will expire January 1, 2029. An applicant must qualify in any of the following categories for one appointment to be made by the Board of Supervisors in accordance with CCMC 18.06.025:
• Professional qualified in Building Construction
• A professional qualified architect or design professional with experience in historic preservation.
• A professional in the field of Historic Preservation.
• A professional in the discipline of archaeology, anthropology, history or related professions.
The Historic Resources Commission reviews and makes decisions regarding projects in the Carson City Historic District and/or recommendations to the Planning Commission and/or Board of Supervisors regarding matters relating to Carson City historic resources.
The Board of Supervisors will interview and appoint the qualified persons to the Commission. Applicants must be Carson City residents and a professional in one of the categories listed above to qualify. All members will serve without compensation.

Applications will be accepted until January 21, 2025. Interviews for this position are tentatively scheduled to be held on the February 6, 2025, Board of Supervisors meeting.
