Singer/Songwriter Canyon White returns to A to Zen
Submitted by Danielle Cook on Wed, 10/15/2014 - 10:05amPerforming in the Zen Den at A to Zen on Oct. 25, Canyon Band features the talents of Canyon White, voted “2nd Best Local Songwriter in Northern Nevada” by Reno News and Review in 2014. Considered a “less-talkin’, more rockin’” acoustic rock and roots band, they will be playing an all original, all ages show.

July 4 holiday weekend activities lined up for Carson City and surrounding areas

The Nevada Rural Counties RVSP carnival runs through the weekend at Mills Park. Tonight RSVP will host a spectacular fireworks celebration over Carson City to go along with its 22nd annual holiday carnival.
A to Zen Christmas Concert Benefit For FISH Food Bank

Carson Street, Carson City, on December 21st from 1 to 6 pm, and listen to local musicians play and sing your favorite Christmas songs, find unique Christmas gifts, and help local families in need to have a merry Christmas. Bring a non-perishable food donation, unwrapped children's toy, or cash donation between Friday December 13th and Saturday December 21st, and have your name entered to win a gift certificate to A to Zen.
Blinky Man Halloween

This event is FREE to ride, and participants are encouraged to dress up their bodies and their bikes to celebrate the holiday with a blinkin’ and bikin’ tour of some of the best places to be in Carson City on Thursday, October 31st.
Scaredy Pants and Horror Shorts a Film Contest of Epic Proportions for all

Scaredy Pants event is for those under 17 and begins at 4:00 PM October 12, 2013.
Horror Shorts is for those 18 and over and begins at 6:30 PM.
No vulgarity or profanity.
Your film should be under 10 minutes.
Entries must be submitted by Oct. 8th. to Jess Truell of Bum Productions.
Prizes include goodies from Spirit, ink from Skeleton Skin Tattoo, trophies, and notoriety as Carson City's scariest filmmaker!
Nevada Day events continue Sunday at Mills Park and Legislative Mall with free concert
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Sun, 10/28/2012 - 8:58amNevada Day festivities continue in Carson City through Sunday, today, with the RSVP Carnival and the Battle Born Celebration at Mills Park, a free symphony concert at the Legislative Mall and Halloween festivities.
The salute to America's military "past, present and future" is the theme of this year's statehood events. Featured at the park is the traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall, living history re-enactments, tributes and military honors and static displays. Go here for more information.
