Sponsored by the Democratic Men's Committee, these fundraisers help defer expenses at Carson's Democratic HQ. This event is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. on Monday, May 7th at Carson City's Round Table Pizza, 3325 Retail Drive, just off of College Parkway in the Walmart retail complex. All are welcome. A 26-year-old man was arrested Saturday for felony suspicion of battery with a deadly weapon, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

Carson City Sheriff's Office deputies will be at Walmart in the 3200 block of Market Street until noon today (Saturday) doing car seat safety checks. Those with questions about their child safety car seats and whether they are installed properly can be directed to deputies at no cost. Deputies at the event will help parents install the seats properly.
