Ghost Walk tours in Carson City

f you are brave enough, join "The Festival of the Spirits" with costumed guides as they lead you through Carson City's historic district.
Spirits of the past will appear as you hear the stories of their hauntings on Carson City's Historic Kit Carson Trail.
There are two tour choices; the Curses Tour and the Rumors Tour. They depart from 3rd and Carson Street. First tour at 10 a.m. (departing every 30 minutes) and last tour at 2 p.m.

Friends in Low Places Carson City Cemetery Tour

Friendly ghosts will lead tours along Carson City’s historic Kit Carson Trail offering tales of the city’s haunted Victorian homes and buildings along two different routes. The “Friends in Low Places” guided cemetery tour is a new addition to the annual festivities, Oct. 22 - 23.

Tourism commission to expand and brand in updated Nevada visitor strategy

The Nevada Commission on Tourism has updated its strategic plan for attracting visitors, combining cost-effective new initiatives and time-tested programs with proven track records, Lt. Gov. Brian K. Krolicki said Tuesday.

The agency (http://travelnevada.com) will target U.S. consumer markets that have large populations with convenient driving distance or easy air access to Nevada and international markets whose travelers have a strong likelihood of visiting Nevada, such as Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom and Germany, said Krolicki, Nevada's tourism commission chair.
