Mr. Thomas A. Bohemier, 74, of Brooksville, Florida passed away peacefully with his wife and children by his side on October 11, 2020.

A 24-year-old Texas man was arrested in the Carson City Jail for escape by a felony prisoner and damage to jail property. He is accused of climbing into the ceiling after making a phone call and threatening a jail deputy.

The meaning and symbolism of objects found on a traditional Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) altar will be presented from 1 to 3 p.m. Sept. 16 at the Nevada State Museum, Carson City. Museum Curator of Education Mina Stafford will deliver the program on this uniquely Mexican holiday and how it has evolved over time.
