Carson City sheriff's deputies make DUI, drug and fugitive from justice arrests

A 38-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday for a felony fugitive from justice warrant issued Jan. 1, 2019 out of the U.S. Marshal’s Office, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

Three were arrested Monday on felony burglary charges after allegedly stealing items from Kohl’s department store, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

UPDATE: 6:05PM: Traffic patterns are back to normal and the vehicles involved have been towed, according to a Carson City sheriff's deputy.

Carson City Fire Department, sheriff's deputies and the Nevada Highway Patrol were called Monday evening to a vehicle crash in the area of South Carson Street and Highway 50 near Spooner Junction.

Carson City Sheriff's arrest log: Man booked for throwing object through window

A transient man was arrested Friday afternoon at 2:20 p.m. in the 500 block of N. Carson Street for gross misdemeanor destruction of property, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy reported, after he allegedly shattered a window at a lodging business.

A 27 year-old man wanted on an outstanding misdemeanor bench warrant was arrested Friday night at 7:45 p.m. in the 3900 block of South Carson Street on additional charges of felony methamphetamine possession, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy reported.

Third two-vehicle accident on South Carson Street, second at Koontz intersection Saturday

Carson City emergency crews are returning to the intersection of Koontz Lane and South Carson Street, responding to a second two-vehicle accident at that intersection Saturday afternoon.

According to arriving Sheriff's deputies, one vehicle appears to have T-boned another at the intersection.

Traffic on both Koontz Lane and South Carson Street are affected as Koontz is closed to southbound Carson Street traffic, which is being diverted onto South Curry Street.

No reports of any injuries at this time.

Second motor vehicle accident on South Carson Street shuts down southbound lanes

Another two-vehicle accident on South Carson Street has shut down the No. 1 and 2 southbound travel lanes just south of Clearview Drive and across from Snyder Avenue.

This is the second motor vehicle accident on South Carson Street Saturday afternoon. One female patient is being transported to Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center with unknown injuries.

Motorists should expect more traffic delays in the area and are advised to seek alternate routes of travel.

One injured in rollover accident at South Carson Street, Koontz Lane

UPDATE: 2:35PM: Care Flight did land momentarily on South Carson Street, but the patient declined air transport and instead is being transported via ground ambulance to Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno.
The victim's condition and the extent of their injuries is unknown.
Meanwhile, the northbound lands of South Carson Street have been reopened. Southbound lanes remain closed between Moses and Koontz. Traffic control measures remain in place at Moses and Curry, as well as Koontz and Curry.

Carson City Complete Streets Project community meeting set for Tuesday

Citizens and stakeholders are encouraged to provide feedback and explore the South Carson Complete Streets Project conceptual designs, which are in the early stages of development.
