The sixth annual Hopefest Concert and Fundraiser at Carson Tahoe Hospital kicks off at 5 p.m. Enjoy food trucks, live music with the Waybacks, and more at the free, family friendly event. McFadden Plaza is where you’ll find Jazz and Beyond’s concert with the Jackie Landrum Band, Living the Good Life is serving up a performance by Prey for Son, or take the stage yourself at Carson Lanes’ karaoke. It's Friday, Carson City. Epic Rides descends on our valley, and I must say, it is one epic event. Beware that quite a few of our downtown streets will be closed and there will be bikes everywhere. Live music can be found at a stage on Musser Street, the Brewery Arts Center, and most all of our casinos. A huge welcome goes out to those in town for the Annual Pow Wow at Stewart Indian School. Don't forget that Fathers' Day is Sunday: plenty of our local shops have something just perfect for the man in your life.

Friday! We have survived the workweek, and for the students of Western Nevada College, the semester. Kick up your heels and enjoy yourselves tonight. Whether you want karaoke, comedy, live music, or dancing: you have a multitude of choices. Sip wine and paint at Van Gogh and Vino or Mona Lisa and Wine. Enjoy open mic at A to Zen or dance performances at Comma Coffee. Featured in the concert will be several solos or ensembles from various sections of the band.
