Original artists sought in student art removal at Carson City's Seeliger Elementary
Submitted by editor on Wed, 06/20/2018 - 1:25pmCARSON CITY — Nearly two dozen pieces of student artwork, which previously decorated the walls of the corridors of Seeliger Elementary School, has be removed and hopefully will be reunited with their original creators or family members. The alumni pieces date back as early as 1982, are neatly framed and range from kindergartners to fifth graders.

More than 1,000 students from across the state of Nevada competed in more than 40 medical competition events.

Get ready for Halloween with your choice of pumpkin patches. Seeliger Elementary School is hosting theirs for the twenty-fifth year in a row. Take a trip on the V and T Steam Train at the Nevada Railroad Museum, actually take several trips. The annual Harvest Train event offers an all-day wristband that allows for as many rides as you’d like, in addition to museum admission. So many more fun activities are available to you, you’ll have to read on to see them all.

On Monday at approximately 11:30 a.m. a young female was walking in the area of Koontz and Hillview in south Carson City. While walking in the area, the young female was approached by an unknown male in a copper colored Ford Ranger pickup.
Vaccination clinics offered at Carson City schools

There will be a team of CCHHS licensed nurses at each school to administer the flu vaccine. Governor signs on to expand free Nevada State Parks passes for elementary school students

Brian Sandoval signed a pair of state assembly bills Friday afternoon at Mormon Station State Park in Genoa: AB 385, which provides the issuance of free annual permits to fifth-graders to enter state parks and recreational areas; and AB 490, which increases provisions for maintenance of state park facilities and grounds.

Each will be replacing Mrs. Karen Simms and Mrs. Casey Gilles respectively. Both Simms and Gilles will be retiring in June.
