Carson City celebrates Halloween with BOO-nanza on Thursday, trick or treating Friday at Children's Museum

To have a more organized and safe Halloween for children, Carson City will again host its "BOOnanza" celebration this Thursday, and the Children's Museum will host a safe trick or treating event Friday.

Meet at Silver Saddle Ranch dressed in your best Halloween Costume. We will walk to the Carson River and back to ranch in a 2 mile loop. The trail is considered Easy according to the IMBA Trail Rating System.

The Carson City Chamber has partnered with the Children’s Museum of Northern Nevada to temporarily reduce some of the fatigue by organizing a bit of Halloween golf and fun for those who just want to enjoy the outdoors while practicing all the current COVID safety protocols.
Since winter is right around the corner, there may not be many chances left to play golf.

Entering its 49th year, Virginia City’s historic annual off-road race was scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 17 through Sunday, Oct. 18 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event was rescheduled twice in hopes of holding the event for 2020.

The popular sushi restaurant, located at 319 North Carson Street in downtown Carson City, closed down earlier this year amidst the COVID-19 shutdown, and Capital City Sushi took over the location soon after.
