There's a lot going on today in our beautiful Capital City, with day two of Epic Rides, the Carson City Airport Open House and Wing Cook-off, the farmer's market, a youth expo, and more.

There's a morning Muscle Powered walk, plus the Nevada State Museum will host 2 behind the scenes tours in natural history and anthropology. Plus, the fourth annual Carson City Off-Road kicks off its three-day event with a Capital 15 Fun Ride and Free Clunker Crit Ride. Heading into the evening, “Newsies” will take stage at the Carson City Community Center and you can sit under the stars and watch “The Little Rascals” at 8 p.m. during movie night at John Mankins Park.
Andy's Ride for Suicide Awareness

Andy began his practice in Carson Valley in 1983, later moving to Carson City. Devoted to his family and his patients, he was an accomplished drummer, loved jazz and cycling. Andy lost his life in 2015.

Looking at the day ahead there's a walk hosted by parks and recreation, kids events, Wheeled Food Wednesday at the Brewery Arts Center, a free "rough cut" feature film screening at the Carson Nugget, Young Chautauquans at Dangberg Historic Park and more.
3D Flowers in 2D Vase Class at WNC

Students will make paper flowers (3D) and paint a vase to put them in on a canvas lots of fun! The event is from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Western Nevada College's Carson City campus, second floor of the Aspen Building.

Carson City Library's inflatable planetarium canceled, will be be rescheduled
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Tue, 06/18/2019 - 2:37pmUPDATE SUNDAY, JUNE 23: The Sky Dome Planetarium, which was planned as part of the Carson City Library’s Summer Learning Challenge, is canceled. The inflatable, 16-by-11-foot planetarium, was scheduled for Monday, but has been postponed by the host company. The planetarium will be rescheduled for a later date.

The Stewart Father’s Day Powwow happens Friday to Sunday and features hundreds of American Indian dancers, drummers artists and cultural enthusiasts. Lace up the tennis shoes for the Eastside Historical tour of the capital city hosted by Muscle Powered. Journey of Hope returns to Western Nevada College at 5 p.m. to settle into the evening. Open Mic Night at A to Zen will cap-off an eventful Friday heading into the weekend.
