Improv Show

Heading into the weekend, there’s a bevy of events around the Carson City region. The November Gobble Wine Walk kicks off in downtown Carson City followed by a new “Paths and Pedals” bike tour. Sierra Lutheran High School is also hosting a Christmas craft fair on Saturday. Combined with live music and virtual events, there’s plenty of activity happening in the state capital! Not only is Friday the first day of March in this 2019 calendar year but it is also the end of the work week. And for this we say welcome to a month that brings us the Downtown Carson City Wine Walk, which is this Saturday, NCAA basketball playoffs, St. Patrick's Day celebrations and the first day of spring. While we look forward to these future events, there's plenty of activities lined up for today. Read on and find out more.

Time for another night of great comedy! Come see the BAC Improv Troupe create a hilarious show right on the spot.

Everything in the show is make-believe, but the laughs will be real. Come see the Improv Troupe play various games and finish the show off with a Harold! For those who want to be a part of the action: several games will be open to audience participation.

Join us Friday for a night of improv comedy. It is a different show every time as the BAC Improv Troupe creates shows for you right on the spot (probably because we are too lazy to actually memorize anything.) Come and see what all the fun is about and even join in. $5 suggested donation at the door.

The Brewery Arts Center in Carson City will present a performance with Comedy Improv masters Rick and Laura Hall on Sunday, July 1 in the Performance Hall at 6 p.m. This performance will also feature local players from a sold-out workshop the pair will host at the BAC earlier in the day.

The weekend has arrived, and it will be an exceptionally long one for the schoolkids of Carson City: spring break begins Monday. There’s a rumor of snowfall for this weekend, but it’s not expected to be too heavy in the valley. Don’t quote me on that, though, I’ve been wrong before. Break a leg to the Douglas students performing in ‘Game of Tiaras’ this weekend; the show sounds hilarious, but be warned, it’s not for kids. Join the Brewery Arts Center Blowhard's improv group tonight, Friday, 7 p.m. in the MHJ Black Box Theater for An Evening of Improv Comedy. Audience participation welcomed!

At the BAC this Friday, January 6 at 7PM, the BAC Blowhards will present the 1st Improv show of 2017! This free improv comedy show happens the first Friday of every month in our Black Box Theater at the BAC!

Free, family friendly, (PG-13 humor) fun, and frivolity! Come see the BAC Blowhards tickle your funny bone as they present an Evening of Improv from 7-9 PM in the Black Box Theater! Cash bar, A/C, and lots of laughs – great way to spend Friday evening! All ages welcome (PG-13 humor).

Sierra Lutheran will be holding it’s second Improvisation Show Nov. 10-12. Led by director Marty Kois, the actors have been working since August to hone their improv abilities. Mr Kois couldn’t decide what he was most excited about for the upcoming performance, “I just love Improv so much I couldn’t [decide]….it’s all going to be unexpected.”
