Happy Saturday Carson City! Tired of the fog yet? Well, there's a big storm that's scheduled to push in tomorrow, so it'll be interesting to see how that changes the weather.

Heading into the weekend, there’s a bevy of holiday events around the Carson City region over the next three days. Events include the Silver and Snowflake Festival of Lights, the 24th annual Parade of Lights in Gardnerville, the annual Project Empty Bowls dinner held at the Carson Mall, a Holiday Crawl in downtown Carson City and much more! Saturday, November 2

Heading into the weekend, there’s a bevy of activities around the Carson City region over the next three days. Events include the second annual Evening with Divas in Carson City, a Día de Muertos celebration at the Nevada State Museum, Nevada Artists Association’s 40th anniversary celebration, paranormal ghost investigations in Virginia City, a pie baking contest in Gardnerville and much more!

With night time temperatures now well below freezing, Carson City's shelter for the homeless program "Night Off the Streets," will open its doors beginning Friday night.

Heading into the weekend, there’s a bevy of events around the Carson City region Friday through Sunday to celebrate Nevada Day. Activities include the annual parade down Carson Street, a carnival at Mills Park, the 30th annual Nevada Day Classic, The La Ka Lel Be Pow Wow at the MAC, beard and rock drilling contests, delicious food dishes, pancakes, chili and plenty of beverages to suit kids and adults of all ages.

Come on down to the market and meet some great friendly vendors with gifts, antiques, collectibles, art, jewelry and so much more. Shop in comfort for your holiday gift giving by local artists. Going into Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2019 more sunny skies and warm fall temperatures will continue to shine on the capital city as we prepare for the Nevada Day weekend. Ahead Tuesday include a morning walk and evening hike with Muscle Powered, a "haunted" cemetery tour at Lone Mountain, a business networking meeting at Casino Fandango and the Fat Tuesday business networking group at Carson Nugget, archery at Centennial Park and more. Enjoy the day.

As Carson City’s disc golf complex nears completion, the Foundation for Carson City Parks and Recreation’s president, David Johnson, announced that the Foundation recently received a generous donation from the Nevada Division of the National Pony Express Association, for the sponsorship of a hole at the Carson Ridge Disc Golf Park.

Heading into the weekend, there’s a bevy of activities around the Carson City region over the next three days. Events include the final V&T Railway train rides of the 2019 season, the 27th annual Carson City Pumpkin Patch at Seeliger Elementary School, fundraisers around town, coin press demonstrations at the Nevada State Museum, comedy at the Carson Nugget and more!

A majority of cuteness normally distributed fairly equally throughout the capital city was instead grouped in the location of Fuji Park during Day one of the Dog Show.

The Dog Show will continue tomorrow from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Heading into the weekend, there’s a mountain of jam-packed activities over the next three days. Events include the 100th annual Candy Dance in Genoa, the Carson City Community Center Garage Sale, free walks at Nevada State Parks, Virginia City’s Street Vibrations Fall Rally, the 31st annual All-Breed Dog Shows, The Beatles Flashback tribute band concert and much more!

Bonanza Kennel Club of Carson City will hold its 31st annual AKC All-Breed Dog Shows, Obedience and Rally Trials with more than 800 dogs in attendance this weekend, Sept. 28–29, at Fuji Park in Carson City.

Come on down for some fun at the market! You never know what you will find at the flea market. Many vendors to choose from with arts, crafts, antiques, jewelry and so much more. Open Sat. It’s going to get hot again today with a high of 93, but don’t worry, as we get out further into the week the weather will turn more autumnal with highs in the 70s. It could be the last hot day for a while, at least until a freak 90s+ hot day in November followed by a week long blizzard, so enjoy it while it’s here!

The 2019 Silver State Art Festival is the third annual gathering in Carson City of award-winning gourd artists, painters, photographers, wood, glass and metal artists and from all over the Southwest. The festival runs Sept. 13-15 at Fuji Exhibit Hall, Park & Pavilion in Carson City.
