In addition to Volleyball Club, Speech and Debate, Ski Team, and Leadership, Pioneer now has its very own Roller Skating Club.

This was the case for Pioneer Academy senior, James Mason. Three years ago James joined the Pioneer family in search of a program that would help him feel more connected as an individual. He wasn’t doing poorly in his previous school, but he recognized he was not reaching his potential.

Carson City's Bethlehem Lutheran School 'Penny Wars' helps those in need

Carson City School District closes schools Wednesday for winter storm, WNC campuses also closed

The National Weather Service is predicting one of the most impactful winter storms in recent years to hit our area. Periods of heavy snow and strong winds are expected tonight. The storm threatens to be disruptive to travel throughout the region.
Local scientist donates 550 thermometer watches to Carson City STEM school

The wearable technology, costing less than $10, is designed to monitor the temperature of the wearer and indicate if they are running a fever.

Record number of Bald Eagles spotted during 2021 annual Tahoe count
