Carson City Parks Foundation receives National Pony Express donation for disc golf park

International Walk to School Day is being celebrated Wednesday around Carson City. The day is celebrated globally and involves communities from more than 40 countries walking and biking to school on the same day. It began in 1997 as a one-day event. Carson City Elks Lodge No. 2177 held its annual Flag Day ceremony on June 14 together with several other community involved organizations.

The Carson City Host Lions Club, which is the oldest service club in Carson City, presented the U.S. flags and brochures explaining facts about the flag to all the attendees at the Elks Flag Day Ceremony.
