Carson City Supervisors seek to fill Redevelopment Authority Citizens Committee seats
The Carson City Board of Supervisors is seeking applicants for seats on its Redevelopment Authority Citizens Committee.
There are three open positions. They are: Business or Property Owner Redevelopment Area 1, Business Operator or Property Owner Redevelopment Area 2 and an open position for Citizen-at-Large.
Business/Property Owner Redevelopment Area 1 and 2 each for term that will expire Jan. 2026. For the Citizen-at-Large position it is to fill an unexpired term that will end Jan. 1, 2025.
The Committee’s primary purpose is to make recommendations to the Redevelopment Authority on Redevelopment Area Plans, incentive programs, special event funding, and other matters pertaining to the Redevelopment District. Applicants should be aware that a minimum commitment of up to ten hours a month is expected. All members will serve without compensation.
Applicants must be Carson City registered voters. All applications submitted to this office will be considered public information. Applications will be accepted until January 4, 2023. Interviews for the volunteer position will be tentatively scheduled for the January 19, 2023, Board of Supervisors meeting.
For the Citizen at Large position, applications will be accepted until Jan. 6, 2023. Interviews for the volunteer position will be tentatively scheduled for Jan. 9, 2023.
