Santa to deliver furry friends on Christmas with Nevada Humane Society in Carson City
I think we can all agree that the best holiday gift of all is love. And what better way to share the love than by having Santa deliver a new bundle of love right to your doorstep on Christmas?
Starting Dec. 21, anyone who adopts a furry friend from the Humane Society will also have the ability to opt for a Santa delivery on Christmas morning.
Additionally all adoption fees are being waived for the month of December for any pets over the age of five months, to help encourage bringing pets Home for the Holidays.
For those pets who won’t be able to find their new homes by Christmas, all pups will be served warm healthy dinners at the Humane Society shelter on Christmas Day. The tasty vet-approved meal consists of green beans, boneless and skinless chicken breasts, rice and sweet potatoes.
Do you want to help make these delicious meals a reality? You can donate a Christmas meal for the shelter pups by visiting https://nevadahumanesociety.org/donate-online/
You can also honor your pets this holiday season with the Lights of Love event through the New Year.
Visit the Lights of Love webpage to show your beloved pets how much they mean to you by purchasing a light. When you purchase lights as a tribute to your own beloved pets, or as a gift for someone you love to help them honor their pet, you are also helping homeless pets in need as all light purchases help the Humane Society continue their life-saving work caring for Northern Nevada’s homeless pets in need.
The Lights of Love lights will be hung outside of the Reno and Carson City Shelters and illuminated through December 31st. Follow this link to purchase your lights of love: https://nevadahumanesociety.org/lights-of-love/
As always, the Nevada Humane Society is accepting volunteers in a myriad of roles including walking dogs, making shelter animal videos, creating foster packets, socializing cats and kittens, processing adopts, and staffing drive-thru adoption events and vaccine clinics.
