"I have my sleeves rolled up to get busy on creating more success stories for ESL’s In-Home Program," said Phillips.
What would those successes look like?:
- Expanding the program throughout all of Nevada
- Assisting more individuals to gain US citizenship in providing scholarships to help pay for their citizenship exam fees to include no-cost citizenship tutoring
- Creating a video training series to include online Webinars to train individuals living within other states that have requested:, on how to bring ESL In-Home Tutoring to their home town communities
- Help those individuals worldwide in other countries who do not have access to literacy training gain tutoring via Skype at no-cost.
What’s the best way to help support these initiatives?
Any monetary donation we receive between now and January 2, 2019 will be matched by the generosity of Subaru;
All funds raised will support the expansion and enhancement of the program to help other states create their own language learning in-home programs and worldwide. We are already receiving requests for training.
Become part of the solution:
- Parents can now confidently communicate with their child's teacher.
- Parents can advocate for the medical services they need by having the ability to advocate on behalf of their children with English language skills.
- Enable parents to read bedtime stories to their little ones in English and support their child's development of their language skills.
- Learners feel more confident to step into new employment opportunities to better support their family.
- Enable learners to feel included in their new communities.
