A 34-year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday and faces two counts of vehicular homicide in the June 23, 2013 early Sunday morning fiery crash on Highway 50 that killed two people after the driver was going the wrong way.
Jason William Cloutier was arrested at his home on a warrant issued Dec. 5 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail has been set at $250,000. Sierra Grace Woodward, 26, of Carson City and Mark Allen Flora, 59, of Texas died in the crash.
Cloutier, who was intoxicated, was driving his blue Nissan Altima the wrong way westbound in the eastbound travel lane of Highway 50 near Centennial Park Way when the front of the Nissan struck Flora’s Ford Taurus causing it to explode in fire.
The Nissan was occupied by Cloutier and Woodward. She died at the scene.
