Carson City man jailed for possession after vehicle found with a variety of 65 pills
A 51-year-old Carson City man was arrested just after midnight Thursday on multiple charges including suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance and possession of a dangerous drug without a prescription, a gross misdemeanor.
The full list of charges for Blake Adam Galias is: Violation of a suspended sentence, misdemeanor, driving with suspended registration, misdemeanor, driving with a suspended drivers license, misdemeanor, possession of a controlled substance, felony, and possession of a dangerous drug without a prescription, gross misdemeanor.
The violation of a suspended sentence charge was out of the Justice Court of Reno Township for failing to pay court ordered restitution after violating a temporary protective order.
Galias was arrested in the area of Fairview and Pheasant Drive after deputies responded to a call regarding a verbal domestic dispute.
When deputies arrived, they saw a vehicle back out of the residence’s driveway and head eastbound on Pheasant Drive. After the vehicle drove off, dispatch advised deputies that Galias had left in his vehicle.
Deputies made contact with the caller, who was Galias’s ex-girlfriend. She told deputies she had been in a verbal argument with Galias after telling him he needed to move out as their relationship of two months was done, according to the police report. According to the woman, Galias began yelling and she locked herself in the bathroom while she called 911.
Deputies then located Galias’s car and initiated a traffic stop. A warrant from Reno Township came back and Galias was detained.
According to the report, Galias stated the woman became verbally upset with him and wanted him to move back. He said he yelled back in response but it never became physical and then he left after she locked herself in the bathroom.
Galias was arrested on the warrant, driving with a suspended license and suspended registration, and was transported without incident to the Carson City Jail.
However, a deputy remained with the vehicle so it could be towed. During the deputy’s vehicle inventory search, he discovered one pill bottle of Alprazolam prescribed to a person that was neither Galias nor his ex-girlfriend, and a second unlabeled pill bottle with an assortment of pills inside.
The pills were later identified as:
1 Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone Bitartrate 325/10 mg, a narcotic
49 pills of Alprazolam 0.25 mpg. Prescription only.
1 pill of Amphetamine and Dextroamphetamine 30 mg. Prescription only.
9 and a half pills of Alprazolam 0.25 mg. Prescription only.
4 and a half pills of Zolpidem Tartrate 10 mg. Prescription only.
1 pill of Propranolol Hydrochloride 20 mg. Prescription only.
Bail: $6,991.
