Nevada Humane Society: Honor your pets this holiday season with a Lights of Love tribute
The holidays are a time to show our beloved pets how much they mean to us and to reflect on the memory of loved ones no longer with us. Through Nevada Humane Society’s Lights of Love, you can do this and help the homeless pets at the same time! Lights are illuminated at both shelters in Carson City and Reno through Dec. 31.
Here’s how it works:
— A Lights of Love form can be completed in person at either shelter or by phone to 775-856-2000 ext. 332 or you can mail in a brochure to 2825 Longley Lane, Reno, Nevada 89502, listing each pet by name and the total number of lights you wish to purchase.
— A donation of $10 for one light; $50 for 10 lights; or $100 for 20 lights is made with check, cash or a credit card.
— A certificate will be sent to you, or if this is a gift for someone else, it can be sent to the person of your choice.
It’s important to know that when you donate to Lights of Love you are doing so in name only; there is not a pet name listed for each light. All the lights are lit at once and remain on through the duration of the campaign. The overall vision is to honor all pets throughout the holiday season and this symbolic event.
