FCA Lift Christmas tree lots open Friday in Carson City and Gardnerville
Fresh Oregon grown Christmas trees are available beginning Friday, Nov. 24 through Dec. 23 in downtown Carson City and Gardnerville to support Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
Organizers say they will have a variety of tree types, including the Big Fraser Fir this year. The lots are at two locations, 501 South Carson Street across from the Ormsby House in Carson City and in Gardnerville, Behind DST coffee at 1411 Main St.
All sales help support Fellowship of Christian Athletes at local schools and in the Carson City and Douglas County communities.
Organizers run weekly huddles on the middle school and high school campuses with the help and support of teachers and youth pastors.
"We support the local schools Angel trees by having FCA students shop and wrap gifts for their fellow students," said FCA Area Director Timothy Plummer. "We are also running a raffle (ticket) $10 to help us fill stockings for Carson City students through the LiFT Stocking Drive. We supply over 300 stockings a year."
