More locals choosing to shop Black Friday online, according to Carson City stores
Carson City shoppers still poured out in droves for Black Friday deals around town, but apparently, more and more customers are choosing to forego lines in favor of online shopping.
“I would say nation wide 80 percent of Black Friday shopping for Target occurred online,” said a store manager* of the Topsy Lane Target, “but our numbers so far are still in the thousands.”
Best Buy, however, averaged around 130 customers per hour, according to a store manager of the Topsy Lane store.
“We’ve been running around like crazy since 8 a.m.,” they said. “It’s been wild.”
Walmart, Home Depot, Ulta, and other stores are reporting similar numbers.
