Carson City arrests: Dayton man booked for felony burglary warrant
A 34-year-old Dayton man was booked Tuesday at Carson City Jail for a felony burglary warrant issued the same day, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
Anthony Michael Melendrez is currently in custody on other unrelated criminal matters. The warrant was confirmed by Carson City dispatch. Bail: $25,000.
In other arrests:
— A 24-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Wednesday, 1:36 a.m. in the area of Highway 50 East and Deer Run Road for suspicion of driving under the influence and failure to maintain a lane of traffic. According to the arrest report, an officer made a traffic stop after the driver failed to maintain her lane of traffic two different times.
The officer could smell an odor of alcohol coming from the woman and she showed signs of intoxication. The woman replied she had two beers, the arrest report states.
She was asked if she would voluntarily perform standardized field sobriety tests in which she agreed and showed signs of impairment. She voluntarily provided a preliminary breath test that registered a .230 on a partial sample. She was arrested for suspicion of DUI. At jail she agreed to evidentiary blood tests. Bail: $1,224.
— A 55-year-old transient was arrested Tuesday, 11:52 p.m. in the 2700 block of Highway 50 East for misdemeanor suspicion of disorderly conduct. The intoxicated man was arrested after standing outside a convenient store challenging customers to a fight. Bail: $242.
— A 28-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday, 8:06 p.m. in the 1300 block of East Fifth Street for misdemeanor suspicion of domestic battery and criminal contempt. According to the arrest report, the man was arguing with a woman and hit her in the face. The arresting deputy observed a red mark on the woman’s nose from where her glasses smashed into her face from being hit. Bail: $3,637.
— A 21-year-old female was booked for a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant issued Nov. 9. Bail: $3,000.
— A 63-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday, 9:15 a.m. in the 100 block of East Long Street for a misdemeanor violation of suspended sentence warrant issued Nov. 17. Bail: $3,000.
— A 38-year-old Reno man was booked Tuesday, 12:55 p.m. into Carson City jail on misdemeanor warrants out of Carson City and Churchill County. Bail: $2,000.
— A 28-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday, 6:05 p.m. in the area of Silver Oak Drive near North Carson Street for misdemeanor suspicion of violation of a restraining order. According to the arrest report, the man went to a residence in the area of 20 College Parkway and used the shower. The resident with the restraining order told the man to leave. Deputies located the man, who initially denied being at the residence. At jail, the man told an officer he was at the residence and was sorry for lying. Bail: $3,137.
— A 32-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Tuesday, 10:45 p.m. in the 900 block of East Corbett Street for a misdemeanor petit larceny warrant. Bail: $1,000.
