Carson City Sheriff’s Office is Joining Forces for Seat Belt Enforcement
The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is Joining Forces with other Nevada Law Enforcement agencies to raise awareness of seat belt use from November 22nd through November 29th, for motorists and passengers not wearing their seat belts.
Seat Belt use saves lives, fact.
1. Buckling up helps keep you safe and secure inside your vehicle, not buckling up can result in being totally ejected from the vehicle in a crash, which is almost always deadly.
2. Air bags are not enough to protect you; in fact, the force of an air bag can seriously injure or even kill you if you’re not buckled up.
3. Improperly wearing a seat belt, such as putting the strap below your arm, puts you and your children at risk in a crash, remember, children must be securely buckled up and properly secured in child safety seats.
The Carson City Sheriff’s Office remains dedicated to bringing the number of fatalities on our roadways to zero through increasing public awareness about the dangers of speeding. More information about safe driving and the state’s Zero Fatalities goal is available online at www.ZeroFatalitiesNV.com.
